Bug-Eyed Squat Lobster (Galathea sp.), Puerto Galera, Philippines. These taxonomically unidentified species of Squat Lobster from the Family Galatheidae, have a distribution range covers the Philippines and Indonesia. They are not seen that often, probably due to the fact that they grow to a maximum size of around 10mm which makes them quite hard to find, especially as they hide away in small holes on the coral substrates during the day. This individual lives on a rock near the wrecks in Sabang Bay. Nikon D200 & 105mm Lens + MacroMate Close-Up Lens, Subal ND20, Inon Z240 Strobes, f/32 1/250th.
