The following photo has been selected as one of the winners of the Suunto 2009 Calender competition, which will be available for viewing on their website soon (www.suunto.com). In addition, for a prize I can choose any Suunto product up to a value of ¬700! As I've just bought myself a new dive computer, Elaine will be getting a late Xmas present of a Vyper Air.

The photo was taken at Manta Run in Sangalaki, Kalimantan, Indonesia whilst was working as the Trip Manager aboard Panunee Liveaboard which cruised this area from June through to September this year. I took the shot at 17.06 in about 5m water to capture the sun beams that give a magical feel at this time of day when in shallow water. We had been diving with Manta Rays but they had been a little shy that day and did not come close enough for any good shots, so I turned my attention to the Staghorn Corals and great lighting whilst on my Safety Stop at the end of the dive. I used a Nikon D200 with Tokina 10-17mm lens, Subal ND20 Housing and twin Inon Z240 Strobes. Camera settings were f/11 1/250th ISO 200.
